I was wrong about you

This is my attempt to draw without style.

A few days ago, I was browsing someone's illustration site. They had some anime-ish stuff, and one drawing that wasn't any style I'd seen before. (The one on bottom left)

I thought it was the best.

It made me wonder about my own style. It has certain conventions that I think are limiting its effectiveness.

If I had drawn this in my normal style, the two boys would have been close in size, and both have had small triangular noses and pointy chins. The big guy's expression would have had to be scaled back.

Not that I think this little poo sketch is great, but I think it's more interesting than the alternative I described.

"A Sterling Gal"

This took quite a while 'cause I didn't pre-plan it well.

Iris

The next (last) comic needs some retouch that I'm having trouble doing 'cause I can't find the wacom pen. It should be up some time later today.

It takes two

It took two people to make this image.

My boyfriend did the pencil version, and I was going to redraw it, but I couldn't get my chibis to be as cute. So I just traced instead.

"Romeo, Romeo"

My boyfriend had some suggestions for how to end this story. There might be multiple endings. :D

"Huh? Really?"

I originally thought they were sitting in Orla's (the blond's) living room. But then I decided I wanted her to have a more interesting house than the one I drew.

Donut belly

This bellybutton inspired by Lunarboy.

I tried to do a comic, but wasn't feelin' it. How grand that I'm an artist and can make excuses like that.
